Teeth Whitening in Greenwood
Our simple bleaching procedure may be all you need to make a huge impact in the brightness of your smile and your overall confidence. In addition to the bleaching procedure in the office, we also offer a less expensive take-home system that you can self-administer with our help.
What is dental bleaching used for?
Bleaching can be used to correct tooth discoloration and diminish the appearance of stains on your teeth.
How do teeth become discolored?
Discoloration of the teeth can be caused by staining from food and drinks, aging, or chemical damage to teeth.
Is it safe to whiten my teeth?
Greenwood Dental Smiles has invested in what we believe to be the best and most valuable bleaching technology for our patients. We would not recommend a whitening treatment unless it was as safe as possible.
What if my teeth are too stained for whitening methods?
In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, bonding, veneers, or crowns may be a better option for correcting the color of your teeth. Also, most whitening systems are ineffective on teeth that are bonded or filled, so they may need a refreshed treatment to return them to a bright white again. When applicable, we typically recommend at least trying our whitening systems, because of the low cost and ease of the process.
What whitening systems do you use?
We have two primary whitening system options for our Greenwood Dental Smiles patients. One is more expensive but quicker, KöR and the other is more gradual and easy to do at home, Opalescence.
What should I know about KöR?
Used in our office, KöR has been recognized as the most effective teeth whitening system available and we’ve seen remarkable results in the office to prove it. It’s even cut through tough cases of tetracycline staining to brighten smiles and ultimately, lives.
What should I know about Opalescence?
The Opalescence Teeth Whitening System can be taken home so you can whiten your teeth when it’s convenient and comfortable for you. Opalescence is cost-effective and will give you a brighter, whiter smile in a way that fits your schedule.
